As healthcare continues to be data-driven, the analysis of this data is vital to organizations. This 6-lesson course will educate students’ primarily in data analysis. A review of qualitative and quantitative analysis and their importance to valid data analysis will be reviewed. Various organizational processes may change based upon the analyzed results. This course will identify specific examples that may be impacted.

It is a refresher course for CHDA exam candidates who already have the appropriate experience, educational background, and knowledge to sit for the exam.


Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Differentiate between quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Identify specific data that may be analyzed in an organization
  • Analyze specific data elements and recommend improvements based upon the analysis
  • Analyze health data using appropriate testing methods to generate findings for interpretation
  • Interpret analytical findings by formulating recommendations for clinical, financial, and operational processes
  • Apply basic data mining techniques to identify causes of variation
