Incorrect cardiology coding leads to claim denials and missed reimbursement opportunities. Coding professionals must understand the latest coding updates in order to provide the most benefit to patients and the organization. This webinar reviews the 2017 updates for cardiology coding, billing and reimbursement. This includes Medicare updates as they impact the cardiology specialty. The presenter will discuss office diagnostics that lead to more invasive procedures. Next the audience learns to identify cardiac cath and/or PCI bundling issues and new billing opportunities. Attendees will learn how to submit the "clean claim" and maximize their reimbursement through correct and accurate coding This session stresses the importance of code "linking" between CPT and ICD-10-CM for cardiology. Modifiers, POS and DOS issues are also addressed in relationship to successful claim submission and payment. Coders will review and code actual procedure notes, as well as follow a step by step PPT presentation that they can use in the future for reference for this complex coding specialty. Gain confidence in coding for the cardiology specialty when you attend this webinar.
