About the Author
Loretta A. Horton, MEd, RHIA, FAHIMA
, has served as co-chair of the Allied Health Department and coordinator of the health information technology program at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, KS. Previously, she worked in a variety of health information settings, including acute care and mental health, and has consulted in the fields of long-term care, intellectual disability, home health, hospice, and prisons. Horton has been an instructor in the health information administration program at the College of St. Mary in Omaha, NE, and a marketing and training coordinator for 3M in Salt Lake City, UT.
